Caprice Valerie Bourret (pronounced
Bour-Ray) was born on 24 October 1971 in Hacienda Heights, California. Bourret
became a cheerleader at age 13, but contrary to popular trivia, she never won
the title of Miss Teen California, nor even participated in the pageant. She
moved to the United Kingdom in 1996 to further her career in modelling, and an
appearance in a revealing dress at the 1996 British National Television Awards
ceremony helped gain her public recognition. Bourret was selected as a model
for Wonderbra and appeared on the covers of GQ, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Maxim,
FHM and the 1998 Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated. Bourret also posed nude
in the March, 2000 issue of Playboy magazine. Bourret is becoming known as a
business woman, having launched a series of lingerie (available at Figleaves.com), using her
image and name, and a range of ceramic hair straighteners.
In 1999, Bourret released her first single as a pop singer, "Oh Yeah", then
follow-up single "Once Around the Sun", which was co-written by '90s one-hit
wonder Chesney Hawkes. Bourret is also moving into an acting career,
having appeared on stage in London in Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" and
"Rent". This year Caprice took it a step further and bought the license to
"Debbie Does Dallas" the Musical, which she produced and starred in. The
Production was a huge success. Following her critical success on stage Caprice
co-starred with Vinnie Jones and Brad Renfro in the film "Hollywood Flies", as well
as "Nailing Vienna", and
"Jinxed In Love". Due for release in 2007 she stars in four independent films,
including "Perfect Woman" and "Pinocchio Effects". |
