Jenni Falconerwas born on 12 February
1976 in Glasgow, Scotland. After her family relocated to the South of England
aged 7, Falconer moved to Leeds in 1994 to attend university, majoring in
Spanish and Italian, with minors in Latin, Geography and Management Studies.
However, she dropped out after a couple of years. She made her television debut
in 1994 as a contestant on "Blind Date", and later presented BBC Scotland's
"Big Country" and ITV's "We Can Work It Out". She has been the host of
"Entertainment Today" since its launch on GMTV in 2000, which has given Jenni
the the opportunity to interview the likes of Ben Affleck, Nicole
Kidman, Kim Catrall, Matt Damon, Pierce Brosnan,
Clint Eastwood and Jennifer
Lopez. In November 2005 she presented "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of
Here!" in Australia for GMTV. In 2006, she was the winner of the BBC One
reality TV show "Only Fools on Horses". In September 2006, she became the host
of "The National Lottery Draws". Falconer will have a role in "Ecstasy", a film
adaptation of the best-selling novel "Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical
Romance", and she is also the new host of Sky One's reality show "Cirque de
Celebrité". Falconer has described herself as obsessed by handbags, and
has a collection of bags, both affordable high-street and designer. Jenni now
lives in London with her husband James Midgley, an actor best known for
his role in "Cutting It". |
